For nearly a century, the Pentwater Yacht Club has provided a relaxed, accommodating environment for those who love sailing and boating to gather and enjoy life on the lake. But with the existing onsite structure experiencing a myriad of issues, including a failing roof, club members turned to Rockford for the construction of a new facility.
Throughout the project, Rockford was mindful of the sensitive nature of building near the water, taking the necessary safety precautions to ensure no materials from the original structure made their way into the river or lake. Additionally, the project team engaged with a local engineering and consulting firm to help confirm existing conditions of the seawall for the placement of the new facility.
"Rockford designed and built our beautiful new home in an unprecedented environment with supply chain volatility, extraordinary inflation and workforce uncertainty. Their work exceeded all our expectations."
Joe Guenther, Commodore, Pentwater Yacht Club
Completed in 2022, the new Pentwater Yacht Club features a 1,000-sq.-ft. full-service kitchen, a 3,000-sq.-ft. formal dining room and a 1,000-sq.-ft. dedicated bar area overlooking the water. While the new facility sports a modern look and amenities, details of the interior and exterior design tie into the heritage of downtown Pentwater, reflecting the historical character and charm for which the city is known.
