Gimme’s Par & Grill in downtown Grand Rapids isn’t just for golfers – it’s a full-service restaurant perfect for anyone looking for a great meal, drinks and an exciting experience. The Gimme’s name refers to a close shot your partner knows you will make. Another meaning comes from their golf simulator, where guests can take advantage of a “gimme” in a 12-foot circle.

Pride in providing quality food and service sets Gimme’s apart. Their menu features popular items like nachos, burgers, sirloin tips and a thin-crust Chicago-style pizza. Whether you’re there for lunch, brunch or a Sunday happy hour, the restaurant offers something for everyone.

We sat down with Sam Stover, managing partner, and Tyler Broucek, food and beverage director, to learn more about Gimme’s.

Q: What’s your favorite part about running a business in Grand Rapids?

Downtown Grand Rapids has a great energy to it – it’s a city that embraces innovation, technology and, of course, has a great food and drink scene. What we love most is the way people here support local businesses. Whether its golfers looking for a unique indoor experience, area business professionals grabbing a weekday lunch or groups celebrating over our great cocktail selection, the community really shows up.

Q: What’s most satisfying about serving your customers and the community?

It’s all about creating an experience. Whether someone is coming in for a round on the simulators, meeting friends for brunch or just stopping by for a quick drink, we want them to leave saying, “That was awesome – I can’t wait to come back!” Seeing people connect, celebrate and make memories here is what keeps us going. Because Grand Rapids is such a tight knit community, we are already building a great group of regulars who we know by name. Knowing that we’ve created a space where people genuinely enjoy themselves has been incredibly rewarding.

Q: Why did you join Rock Perks?

We joined Rock Perks because we believe in the power of local partnerships. Grand Rapids thrives when residents and businesses support each other, and Rock Perks is a great way to connect with more people who are passionate about their community. It also allows us to introduce Gimme’s to new guests while offering something special to those who already love downtown GR.

Q: What’s next for Gimme’s?

We’re always looking for ways to elevate what we offer, whether that’s through new menu items, special events or enhancing our golf experience. One of our biggest goals moving forward is growing our brand image beyond “just golf.” While we love that we’re a destination for golfers, we want people to know that Gimme’s is first and foremost a restaurant and bar with incredible food, craft cocktails and great service – all in a high-energy atmosphere.

We also offer so much more than golf in our simulators. Guests can compete in everything from football to zombie dodgeball, making it a great spot for groups, corporate parties, families and other events. Moving forward, we want to continue expanding that side of what we offer – fresh experiences that keep people coming back for more, whether they play golf or not.
