Meijer Distribution Center 807 – Projects | Rockford Construction

Meijer, Inc.

Distribution Center 807

Innovation is at the heart of the distribution center that Rockford built for Meijer. The 375,000-sq.-ft. building is nearly 100 feet tall and was built to fit around a custom Witron automated storage and retrieval system that Meijer uses to select and pack orders for their stores around the Midwest.

Distribution Center 807 is highly automated and allows orders to be packed in a way that increases efficiency at the store level on an aisle-by-aisle basis. To accommodate the massive system, Rockford’s industrial team used the longest tube steel available in the country, as well as an expansive concrete floor utilizing a steel fiber-reinforced slab.
