Rockford Construction partnered with Inner City Christian Federation on Stockbridge Apartments to ensure that Grand Rapids’ West Side has access to affordable living spaces within the heart of the community. The five-story development features 64 apartments with 51 units reserved for income-qualified households and 13 units provided at market rate. Unit types range from studios to 3-bedroom apartments. 15 of the apartments are supported through Project Based Vouchers issued by the Grand Rapids Housing Commission. Residents enjoy a community space, exercise room and children’s room as part of the finished project. Stockbridge Apartments also includes 10,000 sq. ft. of ground-floor commercial space along Stocking Avenue as well as the new Stockbridge Meijer Express gas station and convenience store.
