Beacon Hill at Eastgate

Phases I + II

.

Rockford Construction began construction of Beacon Hill at Eastgate in 2009, a continuing care retirement community designed to meet the physical, social and spiritual needs of residents in a homelike Christian atmosphere. Beacon Hill at Eastgate features 114 apartments, varying between 13 different floor plans. The facility features a community center with multiple dining venues, health and wellness facilities (including a swimming pool), activity spaces and chapel. The residents enjoy underground parking and outdoor gardens. It is situated on the former site of Metropolitan Hospital.

The adjacent healthcare facility was also renovated, specifically the skilled nursing, memory support, occupational and physical therapy, assisted living commons and dining, and assisted living entry areas.

As part of our ongoing relationship, Rockford recently completed phase two of the senior living community. Phase two involved several new elements, including a four-story condo addition over a new parking garage, expansion of the dining rooms, renovation of the club room and administrative office spaces, a 10,000-sq.-ft. café addition and a new 250-seat auditorium. The project also included additions to the existing English gardens, with a new exterior fireplace, fountains, pergolas and seating. Each space features high-end finishes, including custom millwork and woodwork. Rockford safely and successfully completed this project under a tight timeline and while the rest of the community remained occupied.
