The rich details and original features of New Hotel Mertens tell the important story of the building’s history and resilience. Originally opened in 1914, the first-floor space now functions as a 125-seat French brasserie where guests can enjoy traditional French cuisine with a contemporary twist. To honor the owner’s vision of maintaining the original design and historical quality, Rockford’s trades team preserved and showcased many of the space’s historical details such as the exposed brick and beams.
Upstairs on the 9th floor, New Hotel Mertens Haute Rooftop Lounge offers spectacular views of the city while transporting guests with its Parisian design and delicacies.
