Formerly the Ferris Nut building, Grand Valley State University’s 227 Winter building is an expansion of the College of Engineering and houses community outreach programs and art storage. The building features classrooms, lab space, open work areas, offices, storage and former truck loading docks converted into usable space. This project entailed working within the confines of an active campus, keeping the project site safe and minimally disruptive to the GVSU community.
