Rockford Construction recently completed a four-phase project for Ferris Coffee & Nut Company’s expansion at their main office and distribution center in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. The first phase consisted of a 7,500 sq. ft. cold storage addition, 2,700 sq. ft. garage addition, and 2,500 sq. ft. of remodeled interior space including a service room, wash down bay, maintenance and show room. The second phase included complete demolition and renovation of the existing office spaces. The third phase included major renovation of the manufacturing space.
Finally, the fourth phase, consisted of complete demolition of the remaining first floor office space and retail space to make way for the new retail store and cafe.
Although the project had a tight site with train tracks to the west and power lines to the east, no room for a crane, and the building remained occupied throughout construction, Rockford worked tirelessly to ensure as little disruption as possible to the shipping and receiving schedule, Ferris team members, and their customers.
I am really impressed and pleased with the time Rockford spent on our campus working on the project. We are fortunate to have your company as our construction partner and look forward to working with your team in the future.
