Rockford completed a renovation and addition to Camp O’Malley’s existing dining hall. Located in Caledonia Township on a beautiful portion of the Thornapple River, Camp O’Malley is owned by the Boys and Girls Club of Grand Rapids.
The renovation expanded upon and brightened the old and dark dining hall, which received a new floor, tongue and groove paneled walls, and window trim. The renovation also brought the kitchen up to code, created new boys and girls bathrooms, as well as a new office for the camp director.
The addition portion of the project added 1,200 sq. ft. of interior floor space to the building. Additional windows and patio doors were added to bring the outdoors in, and a large porch with an overhang and patio feature a vaulted ceiling at the entrance. This addition not only added much needed functionality to the camp but will also impact the overall experience the kids will have. The overall goal with this addition is to make the kids experience more memorable and impactful for years to come and we strongly believe we have accomplished this.
