Enter I Don’t Care, a bar and rooftop lounge “secretly” located in the city’s hotel district. Situated on the second floor of the Amway Grand Plaza, IDC’s name comes from the typical response you’ll hear when you ask your friend or significant other questions like, “What do you want to do tonight?” or “Where should we go get drinks later?”
IDC requires an access code for entry, adding to the overall experience inside, which features a cozy and relaxed atmosphere with a modernized ‘70s theme and an expansive beer, wine and cocktail menu. The bar offers a fantastic view of the city overlooking Rosa Parks Circle and most of downtown — the perfect opportunity for photos and your next Instagram post.
The experience at I Don't Care GR is unique, unlike any other in the city.
The location is central to free transportation via the Grand Rapids DASH system. Our bus dropped us off right in front of IDC for easy in/out access. And, even in the winter weather, IDC has you covered with warm heaters in the outside seating area, allowing all the beauty of the winter experience without the accompanying bitter cold.
