Davenport University

Creation of the LEED-certified W.A. Lettinga Campus for Davenport University.

Davenport University, Michigan’s largest business-focused university, hired Rockford Construction to manage construction of their new, 53 acre W. A. Lettinga Campus in Caledonia Township. Construction of the first phase of the campus began in August 2004 and has continued with two additional phases of student housing, a Student Center, business center addition, and athletic fields. Utilizing state-of-the-art classrooms and technology, the W.A. Lettinga Campus accommodates up to 2,400 students in an academic setting that is both professional and comfortable.

Rockford built the University’s Student Center, which includes a field house, provides a central gathering place for students, a home for Davenport’s Panther athletic teams, a fitness center and auxiliary gym, in 2008.

From Davenport’s Perspective

“The time constraints and complexity of this project were challenging. We needed to ensure that quality, budget, and schedule met our standards and Rockford Construction delivered as promised. We would not have had a successful project without your team.”
